The Place

Soul Fire Forest sits on 40 acres of rolling hills in Northern California's coastal range. The land is a mosaic of oak woodlands, grasslands, and riparian corridors following a seasonal creek.

What We've Built

Over the years, the community has developed the land with care and intention:

  • The Hearth: Our central gathering space, with a covered outdoor kitchen and communal fire circle
  • Food Forest: Established fruit and nut trees, berry patches, and perennial vegetables
  • Herb Spiral: A medicinal and culinary herb garden tended by community herbalists
  • The Kiln: A wood-fired ceramics kiln built in the traditional style
  • Workshop Barn: Covered space for woodworking, fiber arts, and other crafts

Land Stewardship

We approach this land as guests, not owners. We work to restore native habitat, manage fire risk responsibly, and leave the land better than we found it. This is slow work, measured in decades and generations.
