I'm working on a native plant guide for our bioregion and would love input. What native plants have worked well for you, either at Soul Fire Forest or at home?
Especially interested in:
- Drought-tolerant perennials
- Plants for pollinators
- Edibles and medicinals
- Things that grow well under oaks

Some favorites from the land:
- California fuchsia (hummingbirds love it)
- Yarrow (drought-tolerant, medicinal, beautiful)
- Coyote mint (great for pollinators)
- Wood strawberry (native ground cover, edible)
- Elderberry (if you can give it some summer water)
The Calscape website is a great resource for finding natives by location and conditions.
