Spring Planting: What We're Growing This Year
The soil is warming and the rains have softened the earth. It's time to plant.
This spring, we're expanding our food forest with new fruit trees: Asian pears, mulberries, and a hardy fig that should handle our occasional frosts. The perennial beds are getting an overhaul with more pollinator-friendly herbs, and we're experimenting with a three sisters garden in the sunny clearing near the workshop.
If you'd like to get your hands dirty, our next work day is coming up soon. No experience necessary; just bring work gloves and a willingness to learn. We'll provide lunch and plenty of good company.
There's something grounding about putting seeds in soil. It's an act of faith, of patience, of hope for seasons we haven't yet seen. Come plant with us.
